Cape Town ...The legend city
African city granted by nature everything to become a charming town, with the presence of heights covered with green, the coasts of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, the famous harbour ,Table Mountain ,and its diverse history all of this make it one of the finest and most famous cities of South Africa, it's the charming city of Cape Town.
South Africa's third-largest city in terms of population, according to the 2007 Census, inhabited by nearly 3.5 million. It is the capital of Western Cape Province and South Africa's legislative capital.
Cape Town was originally a Dutch ship harbour which sailing to East Africa ,India, and Asia, the town emerged in the 15th century, and has been affected by a long history of different cultures such as the Dutch ,Asian ,African and Muslim culture to made it a multicultural place with a special character.
The city passed a long and painful period of apartheid, which ended just 21 years ago in 1990, left in its people and its landmarks effects like Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years ,and because of all the above, the options are many and varied, but we will try to pass on some of the most important sights.
-Cape Point
Cape Point is the southwestern part of Cape Town in the far south of the continent of Africa, which including bays ,picturesque beaches, valleys ,green hills, and the most important of a tour in Cape Point is watching the wealth of rare botanical, where there are 1016 species of plants, and represents the most diverse place in types of the flowers around the world.
There are also a large number of birds and animals ,such as four species of whales, three types of dolphins, four types of turtles, and about 250 species of birds, beside the baboons that tend to solitude, all of this makes Cape Point paradise for nature lovers.
In addition to the various tours, you can enjoy a meal at a famous restaurant called "Two Oceans Restaurant" ,is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or you can wander among the antique shops and commemorative postcards.
Cape Point is situated about 45 minutes from Cape Town International Airport and 35 minutes from downtown Cape Town ,is open daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and requires an entry fee for reservations and to ensure no hustle and avoid fires and other things that might endanger wild animals and plants at risk.
-Cape of Good Hope
The Cape of Good Hope is located south-west of South Africa, to be a legendary place and appealing for explorers because of its privileged position on the Atlantic coast just 140 km from the city of Cape Town and 2.3 km from Cape Point ,even discovered for the first time by the legendary traveller and explorer Vasco de Gama in the fifteenth century.
Cape Point is the closest place to Cape of Good Hope and many visitors love going to the old lighthouse that rises 238 metres, the trip often ending in the nearby 'Table Mountain National Park' , there is a castle in the Cape of Good Hope with the same name (The Castle of Good Hope), is the oldest building in South Africa includes a museum tells the military history of the place and other works of art.

A majestic mountain with a flat summit ,is a part of the Table Mountain National Park in Cape Town and the most prominent landmark that can be seen from almost everywhere, the Mountain is characterized by flat wide summit with a length of about 3 km steep cliffs carved from sandstone, the highest point of the mountain is 1,086 metres above sea level, about 19 meters higher than the cable station at the western end of the plateau, flanked by Devil's peak to the East and by Lion's Head to the west, and the mountain forms a dramatic backdrop of the city along the Atlantic coast.
Table Mountain visitors navigate through the cable car which runs every 15 minutes from the station (Tafelberg ) is about 302 m above sea level ,to the top of the mountain just five minutes, and the maximum load of the cable car is 360 passengers taking them to beauty and splendor places of neighbouring peaks and the city and its beaches.
Walking on the Table Mountain is very popular among locals and tourists, there are trails vary in difficulty because of the steep cliffs around the summit, from the best known : Hoerikwaggo, Jeep track, Kasteelspoort

Robben Island is one of the most popular attractions in Cape Town, it is the place where the former president of South Africa and the freedom fighter Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for many years with other political activists for resisting apartheid.
Robben Island is located 12 kilometers from Cape Town and is accessible via the ferry of Nelson Mandela in the waterfront Tower, on trips leave at different times of the day of 9, 11, 1:00.
the prison building is also of the most important landmarks in the Island to identify the conditions which Mandela lived and his companions, and seeing the limestone quarries where they were forced to work at the prison, as well as Robben Island Museum inside Nelson Mandela gateway, where memorabilia and artifacts dating back to the apartheid era, and Robben Island Lighthouse that was built on Minto hill in 1864, with a length of about 18 metres, and turned into an electric beacon in 1938, besides the beautiful pictures of the island such as forests ,wildlife ,hares and large colonies of penguins.
