Nouakchott.. The capital of sand and sea
The Mauritanian capital Nouakchott is located in the far west of Mauritania on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, connected to the rest of the Mauritanian cities by a network of roads , Road of Hope is the most important road . Its population of more than one million inhabitants.
Nouakchott has suffered as the rest of the country from French occupation for 60 years, the French have been impressed by the beauty and charm of the nature and the habits of its people exotic, until become a tourist destination for lovers of the sea adventures, is one of the best fishing places in the world, offering tourists different types of marine adventures : there are fishing trips available throughout the year where the tourists can enjoy fishing in various marine ,especially that the beaches of Nouakchott enjoying the presence of exotic species of fish can be seen only on the Atlantic coast, such as tuna, shark, mackerel, domes, gear .It seems that the secret of having these types of fish in this region of the Atlantic Ocean the Canary Current, which brings a lot of rare fish.

Mauritanian authorities have realized the importance of "Banc d'Arguin National Park" , so established several official institutions aimed at maintaining those nature reserve and avoiding as much as possible the environmental and human damage.

The story of the building "Mosque Morocco" began at the end of the 1970s , when the Moroccan King Hassan II ordered building this mosque, which is considered a historical and architectural masterpiece in the capital of Almoravids descendants .The residents of Nouakchott have been surprised following the construction of the mosque for its beauty ,the building is inspired by the Moroccan Andalusian architecture and carried some of the profiles of Andalusia mosques, the mosque has a high beacon up several meters high, a main hall for prayer occupying the greater part of the mosque, a platform and a circular arcade for the passage of worshippers from the mosque, in addition to other extensions. The building in general have a lot of inscriptions ,motifs ,green colors ,and stone mosaics and marble decorated on Islamic taste.
There is a mosque Saudi Arabia also known as "Great Mosque" , built by King Faisal in the 1970s, and the Tunisian mosque of Ibn Abbas, it was built in 1963 and is the first mosque in Nouakchott.
